Der Titel ist ein Zitat aus einem Tagebucheintrag von Ingeborg Bachmann. Mich fasziniert Bachmanns Poetik, die das Denken und Schreiben im geografischen und biologischen Raum ansiedelt. Mit der Vorstellung, dass in der Nacht Grenzen verwischt werden und wegfallen, loten diese Bilder die Grenzen aus zwischen belebter und unbelebter Materie, Bewusstsein und Unterbewusstsein, Karte und Landschaft.
The title quotes a sentence from the diaries of Ingeborg Bachmann. I’m fascinated by Bachmann’s poetics, which locates thinking and writing in geographical and biological space. With reference to Bachmann’s idea that the night erases and ignores borders, these paintings investigate the borders that separate animate from inanimate nature, consciousness from unconsciousness, the map from the landscape.
